Character: Vayne Carudas Solidor
Canon: Final Fantasy XII
Version: AU
Canon Point: Post-Reverent Wings
Age: 30
Gender: Female.
History:Though this is an application for Vayne, there are some tidbits about the world of Final Fantasy 12 which have also changed in this world - even though they don't impact Vayne, they alter other events which end up changing the world.
So that is what this section is for.
Fran, viera partner of Balthier, is a Judge Magister in this world - one of the highest ranking military ranks of House Solidor and the army. She took this role and has held it for quite some time, because she had a desire to hold power to push back against her melochany of being a Viera without the Wood. She kept her race hidden, and had become the official Magister of House Bunansas' Draklor Labs - the evil labs of research.
Basch is actually the shell of Belias, the Gigas. This influences a little, but mostly on the side of the protags.
Game mechanics are canon. So Vayne is familiar with gambits and License Boards - but these are more legal tapework. Gambits are simply commands you can issue to somebody, backed up with magicked Law Cards. (Of which Vayne does not carry around anymore.) The License Board is what you are legally allowed to use - so that weak people do not go for the strongest weapons and harm themselves.
Yahri are inedible, just like canon.
Vayne is 2 years older then canon - and since RW is a year after canon, whelp.
On Law Cards: In Final Fantasy Tactics A2, they can summon Judges. These Judges, however, are golems created though Magicks. But they still seem connected to Vaynes' Archadian Empire - since their sigil appears when a Judge is summoned. Thusly, in this world, they are beings crafted by the Empire and sold to other regions of Ivalice to uphold the law.
--
Vayne Solidor, in this world, was born as a healthy girl. For many generations of House Solidor, they had no females - and, so, there was no precedent for one. It was lucky, then, that Vayne had 2 elder brothers who could take the role of Emperor. There was no need to worry her with those tasks. However, Vayne still took to study well, and still learned her way around politics.
As fate would have it, however, Vayne was also seen as a good pawn to get House Solidor into the beds of other High Houses - and gain control of them. At the tender age of 17, Vayne was hastily married off to one of the older Judge Magisters, Judge Ghis of House Eranso. Consummation soon came, even if Vayne was unwilling - but this marriage was what was best, she was told. This pregnancy is what resulted in the birth of her only child, Larsa Ferrinas Solidor. But, for Vayne was still seen as too young to care for a child (Gramis Solidor, her father, thought that Ghis would be holding back until Vayne were older.) Larsa was said to be the child of the Emperor and Empress.
For two more years, things continued like this. Vayne trapped with the one who hurt her. But the schemes of House Eranso were beginning to be discovered. With his silver tongue, Ghis had convinced Vaynes' elder brothers - Ferrinas and Zachirus - to rebel and kill the Emperor. When this was found out (due to Ghis as well), Vayne was made to slaughter her siblings.
And so, she was in line to become Empress. But her heart was hardened, for nobody seemed to believe that Ghis had orchestrated this. Except for one. This is when she met Dr. Cid, and begun to become allies. At first, it began because the two of them had interest in the history of Ivalice, but grew to a deep understanding of each other. Vayne let him know what had happened.
Eight years before canon, however, an accident happened. Dr. Cids' son - Fframran - died in an airship accident, and Dr. Cid left to seek the mythical land of Giruvegan. Though he could not enter - for he did not have the Gigas - an Occuria called Venat left and was curious about him. They made a deal - Venat would see what they could do for Fframran, and in exchange, they would come back and would be allowed access to wherever Dr. Cid could go. For Venat still has the same desires as home - the desire to free the world from the grip of other Occuria who seek another Dynast-King.
It didn't take long for Vayne to enter into the friendship with Venat. Which is good, because Venat needed some of Vaynes' DNA to help revive Fframran - to reconstruct what was gone. It was the same for Dr. Cid. With the three of them, Fframran was revived... with Occurian powers. He was no longer Dr. Cids' son - he seemed to have become a monster. At least to them. It did not take too long for him to become ignored, and eventually Fframran - soon to be called Balthier - to steal an airship and flee. His plans, however, were found out by Vayne and Dr. Cid - who sent the Judge Magister in charge of Draklor safety - Fran - to keep an eye on him in secret. In case his powers ever went out of control.
It was before Fframran ran that Venat told them the secrets of Nethicite, and the way to "put the reins of history back in the hands of Man." With his father, Gramis, having fallen to illness and with Vayne having control of the armies of the Empire (though still under the control of the Senate) the scheme could begin.
First to be invaded was the kingdom of Nabradia. For they held two of the shards of Nethicite - powerful stones which hold magick - which could be researched by Dr. Cid to help free man. Ordering the shard to be tested after it was gotten, the kingdom fell. Vayne, however, felt a small pang of regret. This did not stop him from using Gabranth - a man who was the twin of Captain Basch of Dalmasca - to impersonate Basch and murder the king of Dalmasca. Using a soldier who had survived the slaughter, Basch was captured (and kept alive to keep others at bay). The Princess of Dalmasca vanished. But the Kingdom of Dalmasca was still unable to simply be invaded for the third stone.
The first was enough for now. The Empress-in-Waiting could wait longer.
Two years passed. Vayne was finally appointed Consul of Rabanastre, the capital of Dalmasca. With no other rulers, she had the kingdom in her grasp. And eventually, the second shard of Nethicite. However, she had heard rumours of a Resistance... and, so, set up a fake fete and celebration to catch them. Soldiers hidden, it went off without a hitch. And her and Ashe met face-to-face for the first time. Vayne hesitated, but sent her to be kept by Ghis - forcing Ghis to promise not to have her body. Though she knew she would need to quickly get this sorted out, to make sure.
A boy called Vaan charged for her as well, shouting about the death of his brother. Gabranth blocks the blow, and Fran and Balthier both save the boy. (Fran explains later that the boy was of interest, and she could not drop her facade.) Vayne and Gabranth both seeked the stone before learning it was stolen. It's Fran who sent a letter to inform Vayne that the boy had the stone, and so she would reclaim it before Balthier caused an incident.
But as Consol, Vayne had no freedom to go and assist Ashe. All she could do was work on control of the Kingdom, and continue to scheme. It's during this time that she began to ponder if her goals were just - but could not open up to anybody, for Venat and Dr. Cid both were busy working on Manufactured Nethicite and improving the process. This is when Dr. Cid made the process to coat the bones of people with the stone to enhance their strength - and Vayne did it.
Word got to Vayne that Ghis had taken Vossler - a Knight of Dalmasca - and made him turn traitor. Deep inside, Vayne worried it was though abuse and torture. For Ghis was the sort of man who would do that. It was soon after that, however, that Ghis died by trying to put the Dawn Shard into his airship while it was running like a dumbass. Vayne was not only single, but also free.
...Until she was recalled by the Senate. His father had no control over it, but had a scheme to make sure the senate would no longer influence them. Gramis still favoured Larsa as an heir and new Emperor, even though Larsa was still technically not eligible due to being the child of Vayne.
Gramis would commit suicide, and claim it was a poisoning by the Chairman of the Senate. Vayne does her part - arresting the senate. But deep inside, Vayne had lost her desire to rule in such a corrupt world. Her plans shifted here - from being Empress and destroying other places, to simply freeing Man and fading away to give Larsa the freedom he deserves. Unlike canon, Drace lives. For she doesn't see a woman who did this on purpose, but one who is chained as much as anybody else. Instead, she got herself assigned to Larsa full-time alongside Gabranth.
But the wavering heart of Vayne made Bergan decide to strike down... not Vayne, but the Gran Kiltias Anastasis - the religious leader of Ivalice. Why? For though he had been sent to retrieve Larsa, he desired to bring the war that seemed to be building. Even if Vayne was trying to stop it now. Bergan had also noticed that Vaynes' resolve had been wavering, and so wanted to bring that back.
And so, Vayne seemed to vanish from the public eye, retreating to the Sky Fortress Bahamut. During the adventures of the party, however, Vaan had been tempted more by the Occuria then Ashe - seeing not only illusions of his brother guiding him, but of Penelos' dead brothers and everybody else who he felt had been killed by the Empire. His hatred burning more then Ashe, the Occuria felt it fitting that Vaan would be their Dynast-King to create a new Ivalice.
However, this is where all their plans failed.
For Vaan did not simply cut a shard of the Cryst. And Reddas did not get a chance to shatter it - Venat ended up having to stop Dr. Cids' death though teleportation.
Vaan ripped into the crystal, cutting many shards - and severing the chances of the Occuria calling another after him. And he seemed to fall into the sea with them, laughing as the party tried to stop him. However, he survived. Not only did he survive - protected by his own Occuria - but he was brought to the shores safely with many shards of Nethicite. The party tried to fly to stop him more...
...But it was too late. Vaan - the new Dynast-King - destroyed the entire city of Archades. Most of the Archadian territory was also tainted by the Mists - a place that many could not survive. Due to the few days warning due to Dr. Cids' survival, it could have been worse. But only a few were able to be placed on the Sky Fortress Bahamut - which had turned to the Sky City Bahamut, filled mostly with scholars and other nobles. Many even on the city were burned and were dying. Larsa was one of these - and Venat decided to give their power to Larsa like with Fframran, saving the child by making them Occurian.
The Sky City soared to safety due to the Mists in the air, having to land near Rabanastre for the power had faded. News of the destruction of the Empire spread quickly, and Rozarrian troops quickly came to claim their territory. Dalmasca was spared and Ashe could return... but soon, she made her way onto the Bahamut and her and Vayne drew up a treaty to join their territories - the single Fortress of the Empire would become Dalmascan, for there was no other path. And together, they would seek to end the life of Vaan. Though it was painful for many. Balthier and Fran were still with them and Fran decided her job was over - since she had already had The Talk with Balthier of her role as observer, and that she would hold loyalty to him? Balthier was more then surprised that she was less willing to remain with the Empire then even him. (Balthier had decided he would go and finally find out his issues with his father, after hearing he revived.
And, Balthier and Dr. Cid managed to put aside their issues. Though they still didn't get along.)
Vayne took to training aside Basch and Gabranth both, to become more skilled. The two twins didn't get along still, but were still willing to work together. Vayne also admitted to Ashe the truth about Larsa, and that Larsa is her utmost goal to protect. For Vayne knows that the Nethicite Explosion would have infected her as well. Radiation sickness would eventually claim her life... or so she thought. Months passed, and Vayne had been given the role of Captain of the Dalmascan Guard, due to her own skill at warfare. Since Dalmasca was a single smaller kingdom, they needed to protect themselves more and more.
And to be honest? Vayne wished to reclaim her lands, even though they were barren. Even if it meant they would fly under the Dalmascan banner. And the Rozzarian Empire had barely made a dent in claiming the lands. Vaan had taken to roaming the destroyed lands, seeking those who hadn't fled - and seeking to reshape the land as the mists still flew around. The truth was? Vaan was horrified of what he had done. And where he had used the shards - he had crystal growing on his own body. He had been tricked, and he could not be redeemed.
Vayne went with only Venat to take on Vaan, in secret. Leaving a will behind on her desk, she was ready to die in the Mists to take down Vaan. And so the battle began. Vaan still attacked for the hatred in his heart could not be calmed, and Vayne ended up needing to use the powers of the Occuria to dull the magic and stab Vaan in the chest... Vaan vanishing into the Mists. Vayne had taken the power of Vayne Novus - her second stage final boss fight - and could call it up again if she needed it. Vayne returned to Dalmasca, injured and bloody. And was let to heal, as Larsa and Ashe both negotiated claims to the destroyed territory - and gained it, for Larsa was still technically the proper ruler.
Larsa and Ashe both divided up the territory, and Vayne stepped down from any claims of being Empress, and decided to remain as Captain. Balthier and Fran left - Fran being given freedom from her job as Judge Magister. A new dawn was rising on Ivalice.
Until Balthier asked for Vayne in paticular for assistance with a rumoured treasure. Even though Vayne was no Sky Pirate, her mind was the sort Balthier needed to figure out the Cache of Glabados. Last time he had tried to figure it out? He had ended up in the future after the world ended. It was weird. No viera or anything. Anyway, Vayne had recovered from her injuries and took a period of leave - leaving Basch and Gabranth both in charge of the army. (Basch had used magicks from Larsa to alter his appearance - it had gone wrong and he had become a Bangaa. It's a good way to hide who he is though.)
And Vayne found an Airship, which he named Zachirus after his kinder of dead siblings. It turns out that the explosions that Vaan created had destroyed the Occurian barrier separating the Sky Continents from the land below. Venat had followed Vayne, and the two of them - along with Drace and Zargabaath - ended up with the ship flying into the country of Lemures. A curious Aegyl - Llyud - ended up coming with the party after they save him.
It does not take long for them to meet the Judge of Wings who seeks to destroy the Auraliths - other large crystals of magick. Vayne desires to find out why, but the airship cannot seem to return to Ivalice for backup at this time. So the party has to, instead, use the strange summoned beings known as Yahri. Vayne seems to be adapt with these beings - and unlike many others who use and abuse them, it doesn't seem to effect how she acts. (The truth is, it does still drain emotion to summon them/gives it back when de-summoned. Vayne is just usually seen as very emotionless already. Unlike other bits of Auracite as well, due to the influence of Venat, Vaynes' Anima and emotions return quickly when de-summoning creatures.)
And so, the three chase her around. The party eventually corner her in the Yapih Caverns... until she summons Bahamut and destroys the entire floating island, leaving the group and their airship broken. They meet with a man named Velis - a former soldier of Dalmasca. Vayne finally has to face up to what she has done. But... Vayne already accepts her past. War is war, and people must die to make a better world. When he sees Mydia - the Judge of Wings - return and turn the man to a Yahri? She understands. Another grief-stricken child lashing out at the world.
As the airship is repaired, Vayne and Fran meet again. Fran is unsure of if she should explain to Vayne. But she desides it will be after Balthier is found to be safe - for he is in danger, his cockiness may get him killed.
The party - Vayne still leading - go to where Balthier is with the Judge of Wings. Balthiers' life is saved, but he refuses to explain why he's destroying the Auralith. The energy interacts with Vayne, and Vayne... vanishes. And awakes in a land of Illusions, crafted to look like the land she had lived in before it was destroyed. Without Venat, Vayne had to simply strike the beings here alone and accept that she needs her allies. That is what was needed to bring them all back and discover the truth of the Yahri and Anima - that they are crafted of stolen emotions. Velis explains this, before turning to a new weapon for Vayne.
The group awakes on the Zachirus, and Vayne does still punch Balthier. But then explains that she was willing to listen, instead of being shot. She also asks Venat about her oddities with summoning, and it finally comes out that Vaynes' Auralith takes her own emotions and forms them into monsters, instead of siphoning it off of the other realm.
The airship finally able to return to Ivalice, Vayne gives a report to Queen Ashe and the others. The group finally tracks down Mydia, as she destroys the last of her race. Vayne does not kill her, however. Instead, she is captured and stripped of her Auracite, and taken hostage. She finally tells them all of the one who rules the Aegyl - Feolthanos - and his desires to destroy Ivalice with his mourning and hatred. Venat apologizes, and Mydia gives them directions to Eternity's March. A realm sealed from people.
Vayne goes alone at first to fight Feolthanos. Perhaps this will finally be her death. She learns that it is the Occuria who sealed them away for seeing themselves as Gods... and she understands why. But at the same time, Vayne knows it cannot be forgiven. With the power of the Anima in the room - the emotions that she can tap into due to the Nethicite still in her bones - she became an Undying-esque being. Except organic. Half-Bahamut lady. However, even this form could not take down Feolthanos alone. The others rushed in, however, and Feolthanos was defeated.
With the final Auralith destroyed, Vayne fell out cold. She was returned to Rabanastre, and it was found out she had been massively damaged. Venat decides to finally give their immortality - their very essence - to keep Vayne going. Vayne awoke without the powers of a full-created Occuria, but was well enough to continue her life as Captain of Dalmasca, guardian of Larsa, and eventually? Creator of the art of Summoning in the time of Final Fantasy Tactics, due to keeping the power to create Yahri and wanting to deconstruct how, alongside Dr. Cid.
Personality: Vayne Carudas Solidor is a woman who wears a mask of kindness to those she first meets. However, unlike her canon self, this mask is lesser then a complete lie. Vayne puts on a pleasant air for those who introduce themselves, and acts as if she is down there with commoners. Though her face may seem to carry kindness, Vayne is quite a bit more then that. For one, she's a politician. And if one cannot put on a lie when you have a Senate to appeal? Then you are not a good one.
The truth of Vayne begins at the fact that she is easily focused on one goal, even if it may take years. The desire to take the Gods out of controlling the world? It began many years before canon, and it guided all her actions until she had cleared that goal. And after a short rest? She continued her goals to help the world though finding things which seemed impossible, and also seeking ways to help Larsa keep power - for House Solidor is one of the things she still cares for in moral matters, even if not by name.
For Larsa is life for Vayne - even moreso then canon, where she goaded Larsa to kill her so that the Empire could have a kinder ruler. This isn't just because she's a mother to Larsa, however. This is also because Vayne has seen the cruelness even more first-hand, due to being a woman in a family where only men seemed to be able to rule.
So under her kind face, what is Vayne Carudas Solidor?
A cruel woman, who would kill anybody if it helped the goal she was progressing to. Well, not kill. For keeping people alive can often being better results. But her mind is one which is ruthless to those who stand in her path. Torture makes for being much more ruthless then simple death. (For example, the whole keeping Basch alive to keep Ondore under her little thumb thing.) Her mind is always racing with how to manipulate the people she must work with to get closer and closer to what she desires - even those she cares for, like Dr. Cid and Vayne. (The only exception is Larsa, and even then she is not exactly kind.)
Vayne is also one who loves to lead. For Vayne is not a follower of anybody except for what she needs. Even if she did not slaughter the Senate, she saw them as something un-needed for the future she was seeking. (Though she carries hatred quite easily, even if she does not show it. Vayne hates that her father forced her hand into aiding with his so-called murder. And she could not investigate, or it would harm House Solidor.)
Unlike canon, this Vayne is one who cannot stand for injustice in her heart - especially after her marriage to Ghis. None would listen to how it felt wrong to marry such an older man, one who seemed to not care for her except as a pawn. This is when she decided she would be a pawn no longer - even if she knows that she must use others like that. You see, Vayne knows that her existence and her morals are hypocritical. But that is the way of a politician. She must keep this attitude, else she would be seen as weak.
After her adventures with the Aegyl, however, Vayne has calmed a bit more. Being the only Summoner and being curious about how it works - a new goal - she has turned back to enjoying the simpler things like reading and studying. But she is still one of the most strong-willed characters in all of Ivalice, and stubborn to boot. For Vayne does not like being told something is impossible or wrong. It feels wrong, especially since she is aware that the gods of the world are the sort who desire to control and craft things - aware of the history of Ivalice and how the Gods and Esper both are beings who wish to destroy the other. If they exist like that, what else exists?
Fears: Vayne is one who has one big fear, and many smaller ones. For you see, Vayne is one who idealises control. Though she will not fall into being a blubbering mess at the slightest lack of it, it will make her feel more and more uneasy the less control she has over herself and her fate. This is why Ghis was one of the people who scared her the most - a man who tried to take her as one to simply control and steal. And even now, she still has deep down fears that one like him may return.
She is also afraid of being manipulated back, even if she manipulates people on her own.
Vayne also not only has a soft spot for children, but for those innocent to the world. Now that she has retired from active combat, she is afraid of what could strip children of that innocense. Even if she may act as if it's just Larsa who needs to be protected, Vayne will desire to protect any of them.
Failure is Vaynes' other biggest fear. As one who carries House Solidor, Vayne is one who is harder on herself then any other person should be.
A fear which is also paticular to this AU? Because of the Nethicite which helps support her, if the power of it were drained? Then she would die, and it is one of those things she knows will happen someday. (The Occurian spirit in Vayne - nothing left of it but the power to help Vayne survive - will only let her live to an old age. No immortality.)
Weaknesses: The Nethicite lining her bones - even though it brings power of Magick - also means that her body is weak. If the Mist were gone from the Occurian blood? Vayne would be stuck bedridden once more. (But due to being fused with Venat, that power would come back after being revived.)
Though she is willing to use weapons, Vayne is more adapt with fists - and will use them first in most situations.
Once she has found a focus, Vayne will focus on it no matter the price. Everything she does will be for that goal. No matter the cost.
However, Vayne is also oddly willing to sacrifice herself - this is mostly because she has been in situations which should have killed her, and her arrogance makes her feel as if she's near-invincible.
Vayne still sees people as simple objects to her goals. She can see them as people to work with, mind you. But Vayne also sees the good in hiding secrets and her full goals from the outside world.
Vaynes' arrogance is also a big weakness - she still feels herself smarter then most people. Not that she'll reject other things off the cuff, but she detests idiots.
Mundane Strengths/Abilities: Vayne is a polititian. And is very good at it - as former Empress of the Archadian Empire, Vayne knows her way though the system. (Even if she felt it unjust.)
Vayne can also use many weapons - blades mostly, but also guns if they were handed to her.
Her current role as General of the Dalmascan Army also leaves her as a master of battle strategy, even if the land is at peace. She is also oddly good at getting groups of people who shouldn't get together to work together, if only for a time. She is also good at manipulation so that people can care for him easily - putting on a kind facade is second nature for her - but is also really good at planning ahead.
Being able to mask her emotions is also good, even when not using it to hide how draining it is to summon Yahri.
Sensitivity/Magical Ability: > > BASICS < <
Due to having Occurian blood and Nethicite-lined bones, Vayne creates small amounts of Mist in her body. The amount is about the same as 32 MP per in-game day. This can be sped up by moving and exerting strength. (Unlike in-game, she doesn't have the 0 MP Augment.)
Vayne is also protected slightly from stepping on traps, or being knocked back by attacks.
Vayne is basically a Monk - her abilities, if she does not call on the Nethicite and Occurian power to shift forms - are basically strong kicks and punches. Mach Wave and Force of Will are her using Mist to inflict more damage, at the cost of them making her more tired. Also, they're ranged.
Vayne will not be able to go Undying in-game unless there's a cache of crystals (think like a Final Fantasy XIV Primal) or other magic-holding devices, but will be able to go Vayne Novus... but this is very draining and a final resort. She will only be able to hold this form for a short time before collapsing.
As Vayne Novus, she can use more MP and is stronger and faster too. She has more ranged attacks, and can even create blades to slash at people.
She can also use elemental magick - the strongest versions of Water, Wind, Fire, Thunder, and Ice magick, to be exact. She can also create an anti-Magick field... which will also end this state of battle.
If there is ever a chance for Vayne to go Undying, then I will discuss it with a moderator, and the powers that such a Final Boss may hold.
> > YAHRI < <
A note on Yahri still existing: Even though the game says that they all vanish at the end of it, in post-credits scenes there are pictures of characters still with them. Plus this is my AU, and so they can be created without pulling from another realm.
Vayne can summon Yahri from herself, without a Summoning Gate, due to the presense of being part Occuria. However, this process drains her, and so she can only have a limit of them. She can either have 4 rank 1, 2 rank 2, or 1 rank 1 at a time without massive damage to herself - and, for non-Elementals, they take more energy (double). However, she can only summon 1 of each type as well. So, for example, she can't just walk around with 4 Cactoids.
These summons also drain her emotions, and cannot be out for too long before bringing harm to herself. For the full amount of them - or the stronger ones - this time is limited to around an hour before there's a full pang of pain and loss of emotion. (It can regen, but very slowly. Like, if Vayne were to de-summon all of her Yahri after having them out for 2 hours, it would take around an in-game 'day' to regain what had been lost.)
Below is a list of all the Yahri, and their skills. I will, however, explain the ones which I see Vayne using the most. As they are parts of her soul, they seem to represent them oddly.
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Esper_(Revenant_Wings)
Quetzalcoatl: A little electric bird who zaps creatures. However, it cannot power devices of any sort because it's only geared to basically be a tazer.
Djinn: Djinn are tiny imp creatures, which sneeze out flames and are cute. They're not too strong alone, and aren't wishgranting, but Vayne likes them for their warmth.
Aquarius: A fish which floats though the air, and it headbutts enemies and creatures with water. It's another quick striker.
Cactoid: A living cactus plant which puffs up and ejects its' needles as an attack. A paticular favorite of Vaynes'.
White Hare: A healer. The heals a White Hare can put out are at the level of a Cure spell - so mostly healing cuts and easing pain.
On her Ring of Pacts, Vayne unlocked all the non-FF12 Espers. Also not Gilgamesh.
Supply List:The most important thing to note is that the Ring of Pacts and the shard of Auracite are things Vayne still keeps on her person, and have arrived with her. The Auracite has been crafted to a neck choker (so it could not easily be stolen), while the Ring of Pacts is still... a ring.
The blade given by Velis is also one which Vayne keeps by her side. It's ornate, but barely used (for Vayne prefers using her fists.) Alongside these weapons, Vayne carries a supply of potions and other healing items - given gifts from Larsa.
Her bones are lined with Nethicite, as I've noted many times before. And if somebody ripped her open to remove it, they would be able to use it to channel Mist and use magick - though they most likely would just cause a Big Blast. (I call Nethicite 'Magick Nukes', but small amounts won't leave the world destroyed at all.)
Game Transfers:Sample RP post:It had been such a confusing night for Vayne as the morning light shone elsewhere. Not only had she awoken in a new place, but it seemed... dangerous. The wind had been rattling any walls connected to outside - and strange shadows had been seen out of her eyes. Honestly, Vayne had thought there may have been more...
Not that she thought that was but nothing. But it was something to simply keep in the back of her head. For she had been seeking but one thing: to seek the library of this building, so that she could see if there were more information on this area, and if there was more she should be looking out for. Unusually, Vayne was carrying her blade tightly on her belt, making sure it was visible. But that was just to make those who may approach be ready to fight a wielder of a sword instead of one much better with their fists. Her clothes as tight as usual - sometimes, she appeared more masculine then even she thought - she stopped outside the door.
Her movements suddenly became a lot more cautious. Listening to see if it sounded safe. Seconds passed, and she closed her eyes - for a moment.
It sounded safe. There were no signs of danger, at least though the door. However, Vayne knew that didn't mean it was safe. As the door slid open, however, her fears were clearly unfounded. The smell of the old books was overwhelming - though Vayne was still simply standing in the doorway for a moment. Before the smallest crack of a smile came onto her face. Not the sort which she wore when she was simply being pleasant, mind you - but the sort which meant she had found somewhere interesting.
And so, Vayne had made her way into the Library for her first time, seeking books on history. Not just of this area, however - any history could be interesting. Though, she would not be adverse to company.
However, as she passed some trinkets, she gave a small scoff under her breath. "And yet, they don't label them. A pity."
